Delete your account
You can delete your Tyre Hunt account and everything in it at any time. Deletion is permanent and takes effect immediately — there is no recovery window and no way for us to restore it afterwards.
Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app
- Open Tyre Hunt and sign in.
- Tap the ring in the top-left corner to open your profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap DELETE ACCOUNT.
- Confirm. Your account is erased straight away.
Option 2 — ask us to delete it
Email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you. No other proof is needed — we match on the email that receives your sign-in codes.

What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in email
- Your handle and hunter code — freed for anyone to claim
- Every capture you filed, and every uploaded photo
- Your Registry, ranks, badges, records and streaks
- Your comments, likes, crew connections, bounties and duels
- Your notifications and any push subscriptions
Captures stored only on your phone are removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Want to keep them? Use EXPORT MY GARAGE in your profile first — it saves every photo plus a spreadsheet of your finds.
What we keep, and for how long
Almost nothing. After deletion we may retain:
- Anonymous, aggregated counts — such as how many cars have been filed in a map area. These carry no link back to you.
- Records we are legally required to hold, such as payment and tax records for a subscription, kept only as long as the law requires.
- Moderation records where an account was suspended for abuse, so that a ban cannot be evaded by deleting and re-registering.
Server error logs are automatically discarded on a rolling basis and are not used to identify you.
Just want to stop the emails?
You don't have to delete anything to go quiet. Turning off notifications in your profile stops every push and reminder, and your Registry stays exactly where it is.
